Assignment #2

Okay, here's Assignment #2! It's been a struggle to get this posted, thanks to our show opening tonight and technological problems. But now I can share my work!

My first photo tackles depth of field. You saw this on my progress post, so I won't go into more detail.

Next is another one you've seen, the staircase.

The next depth of field picture I took is of that rose. I moved around to different angles while photographing, so it's another view of the same rose you saw the other day. I tried to keep the colors from causing weird artifacts like they did in the other one of the rose.

My last depth of field one is a weird pic I took looking down from our patio. I thought it could make an interesting composition, but it's not my favorite as is.

Okay, my first motion pic is of my roommate Ali flipping through my script for "The Pajama Game", our musical in Renaissance. I like this one a lot.

This one is of my friend Corinne, who was flipping her hair around for the camera. I like how ghostly this one feels.

This is another one with the help of Corinne. I had her take the dying roses we had and drop the petals.

The last blur one is one I got of some of my books in our cube shelf. I wasn't sure if it worked for the assignment due to the whole picture being blurry, but I liked it, so I decided to include it anyhow.

Okay, that's all for now. Hope you enjoyed! Now time for sleep! Lol

  1. As before, I really enjoy the paintbrush photograph. You also have some great experiments with motion, especially the page flipping one. I would have liked to have seen at least one where you froze motion, however.

  2. I really like the picture of the paintbrushes. They are very in focus and very colorful. All of your motion pictures look really cool and ghostly feeling. I myself had trouble with getting my pictures to have that effect, so Great Job!

  3. Hey there! Nice photos! I would say my favorite would have to be the one with the rose. In the photo you can see the parts of the flower which is dying and you can also see the details on the wood which the flower rest upon. Great work!

  4. The stair case has to be my favorite, it really shows of depth of field! I also love how you edited it, it makes it seem dark
