Assignment #5: The Finale!

Though this class has been far from easy, it has been so much fun! I have learned lots, and having a new art form to create through has been so worthwhile. This assignment was probably my favorite we got to do. I plan to continue looking into the computer art and grapic design side of things.

My first logo that I finished was a redesign of Singin' in the Rain. I love this show and it's vintage vibe, so I thought it was a good one to redesign. I am happy with this one.

Here is a picture of one of the most common old logos for Singin' in the Rain for some background information.

My second logo redesign is for the musical, Spring Awakening. This is one of my favorite musicals, and I felt like it needed a new logo. This logo was very hard to do and I still don't know if I'm completely happy with it, but here it is. I couldn't find a smart object that would look good and cooperate with me lol, so I made my own playbill. I added the "A New Musical" part to my playbill because that saying often accompanies the logo, and also to make it look a bit busier and more realistic.

Here is a picture of one of the most common Spring Awakening logos for some perspective.

The last logo was one I designed for myself. I'm not sure that it's my "forever" logo for my art at all, but I think it shows off the fun, childish nature of a lot of my recent paintings. Plus, the colors I used in the logo are colors I find myself using a lot in my art.

And with that, I'll sign off. I hope everyone has a great summer! Good luck on the rest of your finals, and see you next fall!

  1. Holy smokes these are super good! They all, seriously, look like they could be used by a top-notch company tomorrow. The Spring Awakening re-design is the coolest one in my opinion. It has a strong eerie feeling to it and also looks like it could be the album cover for a rock band. Very impressive work overall.
